Katie is licensed through the Texas State Board as a Licensed Professional Counselor, license number 86228.

Katie has her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Texas Christian University and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary.

Certifications and Specialties

Katie is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. This approach is an evidence-based, emotion-focused method that provides a foundation for mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance.

Her integrative approach will incorporate elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic approaches, Internal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, and Faith-Based incorporations.

Her specialty is in trauma (this can include substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, and personality disorders), grief, transitions, stress management, codependency, boundary setting, LGBTQ+, and works with both adults and adolescents.
